"grokking"

Losing oneself in what is Here

Is finding that "Here" is what one IS.

  1. I kind of grew up with that word "grokking" - I was going to use it recently but then I thought, you know, these youngsters might not know what the heck I'm talking about! Robert Heinlein and Michael Valentine are not the icons they once were.

  2. I seem to have missed it the first time around, but became interested when Wayne Liquorman used it as a rough equivalent of apperceiving. I think the word is still being used, and may have some potential as a spiritual pointer. As you have more familiarity with the word, I'm wondering what you think of its possibilities.

  3. Whoa! This quote from Wei Wu Wei is a brain-stopper! Funny how disappearing and finding ourselves (for lack of a better word) is the same thing. Tom we definitely like a lot of the same books, as I've found Wayne's writings to be helpful too. And I love Wei Wu Wei.
To me "grok" means something like "getting it." When I grok something it means it clicks for me, I can surf that wave..."Here" is what I am.
