Hi Diane, Wayne Liquorman (following Ramesh Balsekar) used to say, "All there is, is Consciousness." He would then say that the manifest things are ASPECTS of Consciousness - NOT separate, independent entities.
So, he didn't deny the manifest world - just that it was INDEPENDENT of Consciousness.
He seemed to appreciate 'relief', when it happens.
Phew, what a relief (apparently to no one in particular) :D
